A School with Vision
When it comes to the education of a child, parents have a choice – public, home, or private. Even within the private schools, there are choices to be made such as secular versus religious. For those who want a Bible-based, Christian education for their children, Harvest Baptist Schools, a ministry of Harvest Baptist Church, provides students with a sound, moral, academic and spiritual education.

Wisdom and knowledge come from God; therefore, man’s education is complete only when God and His Word are at the center of all learning. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge (Proverbs 1:7). As Christian educators, we are concerned with the total person: his intellectual, spiritual, physical, and social being. We believe the needs of the total person can only be met as approached from a Christian or Biblical philosophy. But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him (I Cor. 8:6).
Goal:
We believe that a child's education will be measured largely in terms of his ability to read and interpret intelligently, communicate effectively, compute accurately, write legibly, and speak correctly. We labor to accomplish these things through time-tested methods that once served our nation so well, under the watchful care of our heavenly Father.
This program is designed to meet the spiritual, physical, social, and developmental needs of each child as well as expose young hearts to the experience of learning in a group atmosphere. The goal is to incorporate a consistent academic program for all ages in a safe, sanitary, fun and comforting environment. We use the Christian based curriculum A Beka Books as our source of academic activity.
Students graduating from the K5 program are ordinarily very competent readers, due to our emphasis on traditional phonics. Kindergarten students also can typically write in cursive, count to 100 by ones, fives, and tens, and do simple addition and subtraction problems. Imagine where a student can go when this is their foundation!
Our grade school runs from first grade through sixth grade. The students’ exposure to rigorous academic standards throughout their elementary years prepares them for the challenges of high school. Elementary students drill, memorize and practice numerous problems in arithmetic. They read good books which challenge their minds and imaginations. Our students enjoy science and history classes that are taught from a Christian world view. We teach proper grammar, traditional spelling, and neat penmanship. We believe that children are capable of much more than what so-called experts currently say they can do.
In high school, the academic load is challenging and complete and is designed to make the students successful adults. Math classes present a broad spectrum from the practicality of consumer math to the advanced concepts of calculus. Science classes range from earth science to physics. The goal of Harvest Baptist Schools is to prepare the students to live a dedicated life of Christian service; therefore upon graduation, Harvest Baptist Schools encourages all students to attend a Bible or Christian college for at least the first year
Fine Arts:
Harvest Baptist Schools participates each spring in the Georgia Association of Christian Schools Fine Arts Festival. Additionally, piano lessons are available for students on a first-come, first-served basis, and all our students receive voice instruction and teaching in music theory in all grades.
Our high school enjoys a computer lab with classes on the use of them.
Athletics:
Harvest Baptist Schools offers Basketball for our seventh through twelfth grade boys and Volleyball for our seventh through twelfth grade girls. We also offer Intramural Soccer for boys and girls in grades one through sixth.
Lunch Program:
The school offers a daily hot lunch program or the student may bring their own lunch. If the student brings in a lunch, we can warm it up if needed.
After-School Care:
We provide safe, supervised and structured care until 6:00 pm at a reasonable cost. We charge by the hour.
Our school maintains a positive attitude in everything we do. Children experience Christian love through the administration of a well structured, controlled environment. We instill the Christian values of hard work, honesty, reverence, patriotism, respect, generosity, and kindness. We maintain a standard of modesty and decorum through the wearing of a sharp school uniform which is purchased at a local vendor. In all ways we seek to have an atmosphere that reflects decency, order and respect for our Lord, our authorities and our peers.
Admissions:
Students are admitted without regard to race, color, and national/ethnic origin. Generally, students are accepted when it is clear that their parents and administration of Harvest Baptist Schools are like minded concerning the philosophy and standards of the school. Admission requirements include: completed application form, an interview with the administrator, evaluative testing, a copy of a birth certificate, and a current immunization certificate (Form 3231).
Statement of Non-Discrimination
Harvest Baptist Schools is a privately operated school under the authority of Harvest Baptist Church, and receives no federal, state, or local government funds or assistance. We depend entirely on tuition, gifts, and fundraising projects to meet our financial needs. We accept students regardless of race or national origin. The submission of a registration packet alone does not insure admittance. Individual admittance and on-going matriculation at Harvest Baptist Schools is tentative and may be withdrawn if, in the judgment of the administration, the student and/or guardians are not in compliance with the principles of Harvest Baptist Schools as indicated in the Parent-Teacher Handbook.
